Day 2 and 3: Back on the Gym Bus


10 July
Gym day was just an easy 15 minutes on the Precor elliptical.
I am so sore today from yesterday. The worst part about falling off the gym wagon is getting back on hurts so badly!!!
My inner thighs are so sore I can barely walk. =/



Since I haven’t been posting these on the day they happen, I am going to add yesterday’s (11 July) workout to it as well.  

We did a quick 15 on the elliptical and then did back.

Lat pull downs
10x30lbs

(before I left I was doing 12x40lbs and about to move up to 10x50lbs)

Seated cable row

(I honestly can’t remember what I was doing before I left)

Biceps curls on the machine
Just the machine resistance 10reps 3 times.
I was probably doing it on 10....yes, I have very wimpy biceps. 

Today 
12 July

I had my final interview for a position at H&M today, so we missed our workout. Unfortunately. We were planning on going and doing 30mins of cardio and stretching. We would probably usually do shoulders or something like that, but since we just started back up going to the gym, we are going slow.

Finally, back on the gym bus.


This morning I got back on the gym bus! FINALLY.
I hadn’t worked out since the day before I left for my Europe trip which was May 20th. EHHHH so long right?
Even though I went over a month without working out, it’s always better late then never.
I know however, tomorrow I will be so sore. (Will update as to exactly how sore, see next post).
I thought I would start logging my workouts on my blog as well as in my Fitbook.
I bought my Fitbook online off of Amazon.com and it’s amazing. It’s a great way to log your food intake and workouts. It also has a spot to fill out the servings of each food group you get and the amount of water you drink so that is also very helpful.

Today we (my boyfriend and I) did a light cardio warm-up and a light legs workout.

We started with 20 mins on the elliptical, this one specifically (I find I burn more calories on this one and it’s much more of a workout)

Then we went to the weight room to do legs:

Squats:

Leg extension: (machine, no weight just controlled, continuous, slow motion)

Before I left for Europe I was doing 3 to 4 sets of 12 on squats and just about to add weight to the bar, and doing 2 sets of 12 deadlifts and the set 3 with 2.5s on each side. My boyfriend and I always do the leg extensions with no weight; we do it for the controlled, slow, continuous motion.

Today the deadlifts were really hard on my hands, if you’ve lifted with the traditional bars, you’re aware they aren’t the most comfortable thing to hold onto and they usually give you calluses. Since I hadn’t worked out in so long those weren’t there anymore so it hurt my hands more than it should.

Amazing quote.

I found this yesterday on Pinterest (that will take you to my page) and it just really hit me. It was beautiful and perfect. I don't know, my family is not religious but there isn't much literature that can move you like the Bible. 



My hiatus.


SOOOOO......
I realize I only have 9 followers, but I still feel like I should mention my hiatus...
I don’t know you decide if you care, but I really don’t have a good reason. I was just not in the mood. I actually edited a whole video before I left the country but for some unknown reason I decided not to upload it. I don’t know why, maybe because I didn’t want to pay attention to my laptop for 2 hours but not be able to do anything on it.
Anyways, I am trying to get back into the swing of things and really work at this. I think I was also discouraged, hahahaha lame. But I pretty much just got lazy.
I am going to start with doing a new favorites video. It’s kind of a random time but I want to do that first and I have some reviews planned for the near future! Blogposts first probably then videos to accompany it (posts are easier, only pictures and words, editing videos can be EXTREMELY time consuming).

I still don’t have a video camera but I am making it work.
