Hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t
work hard.
Who originally said
this?
I don’t know.
It’s extremely
unclear. I think Kevin Durant is the first person to say it and have it
recorded that he said it, but there is no way he was the first to say it.
I think it might be
like a figure of speech, in that everyone says it but no one really gets the
credit for coming up with it.
I first heard it from
Tim Tebow, verbally and in his book (page 33 if your curious).
Tim states he adopted
it as a mantra while still in Little League and Kevin Durant didn’t say it
until 2007 so mathematically Kevin Durant can’t be the first person who said
it, because that would mean 6 years ago Tim Tebow would’ve been in Little
League and still working out with tubing attached to his door.
Clearly this isn’t
the case.
Online I’ve found Tim
Notke with credit for this quote but if you google the name it comes up with
nothing.
Somewhere it said Sam
Lincoln said it, seems like speculation. Who knows?
I’ll I know is it’s extremely
motivating.
To me it says: it
doesn’t matter you predisposition, you can do whatever you want through hard work.
Granted, that’s not
always true, but the sentiment is brilliant anyways.
Keep on trudging
beauties.
until next time.
