Finally, all of my finals are over and I have time to catch up on blogging, filming, editing etc.

I can’t guarantee any new videos on my channel until I get my video camera, but I may edit old ones. =]

How to stay warm without a parka

I don’t know where you all live, but I live in Colorado and it gets pretty darn chilly. We have days in which wearing a parka is the only way to go (unless you literally want to freeze your buns off) but I am talking how to stay warm without a parka, when it’s around 40-50 degrees (in Fahrenheit).

It’s always a drag to walk outside in a cute outfit only to realize, you’re freezing. It may not be that cold, but often times the wind picks up here and then it’s cold.

So, my best ways to keep warm!

Layers: not layers in the sense like go wear a long sleeve shirt under that tanktop…no. You should probably put the tank tops to rest for the most part during the winter anyways. What I like to do to stay warm and still look cute is wear a long sleeve shirt underneath a cardigan or v-neck sweater. I have two that are typically go-tos. They’re both cardigans and about the same color (oops guess I like dark gray). Top it off with a cute scarf and a comfy fleece and you’re good to go.

 Mittens: I can’t speak for the general public but I think mittens are actually very cute. I have two pairs (of the same) from H&M. They look knitted and handmade, but the inside is lined with fleece so they are extremely warm. Lots of mittens come with that homemade-knitted look and are adorable but don’t keep your fingers warm at all because the wind and cold air get through the fabric. Honestly, I think you would be surprised how much of a difference it makes on your whole body temperature if your hands aren’t freezing. I’m not saying this with any sort of scientific certainty it’s just what I’ve found, and maybe it’s just completely mental.

Warm socks: the idea that having warm fingers will make you warmer (or at least make your body think you are) goes for your tootsies too. I don’t know which one is worse, cold fingers or cold toes, but to me both suck horribly. So why not keep them both warm? Wear some warm, fuzzy socks underneath boots and cute (and warm) mittens.

   Scarves: they aren’t just meant for adding a cute and trendy touch to pretty much any outfit; it’s surprising how warm a scarf can make you. You can nestle your face into when the wind picks up or keep that awkward V-shape of skin that remains exposed when you wear a pea coat shielded from the cold air while you’re outside.

Daily Posting

So I’ve decided I would like to post on a (hopefully) daily basis. I hope that everyday I can at least do a “Pin of the Day” post in which I share with all (8) of you a pin I found that day. ^_^

I want to post something everyday. Keep in mind posting daily takes a lot of effort, so some posts may be more extravagant than others. I am going to try to pre-write many posts so I can stay on time with my posts and miss days as minimally as possible.

Adorable Individual Christmas Brownies

I decided to share this because it seems appropriate with Christmas approaching.

Christmas is only 6 days away and putting brownies inside of cookie cutters and decorating them with candies is a simple, but adorable way to show someone you care.

Or maybe you got invited to a party last minute and need something festive to bring, but don’t have much time to work on it (really who does this time of year?)

Simply put the cookie cutters on greased cookie sheet and pour batter inside, bake, then decorate.

Easy Peasy.

Organizing on a Budget

Hey there lovelies!

So my blog is usually (not up-to-date) filed with posts about make-up however, I recently decided it was about time my boyfriend and I organized the condo we moved into over a year ago. We didn’t move in with enough time before I started school for us to really hunker down and get settled so we’ve been living with boxes, and little-to-no furniture for quite some time now.

Anywho!

As  college student I don’t have a ton of money to fund my condo organization project, so I have to come up with creative ways to organize. I use a lot of things I have in the house already and recycle products most people would throw away (don’t worry nothing gross).

I decided this is a dilemma many college students probably face. As if moving out, going to college, being without mom and dad, and having to be organized and run your own household isn’t enough; college students have to do this all without breaking the bank. As this is a common dilemma I thought it would be a perfect way to expand my blog and integrate more aspects into it. Make-up is my number one passion, but that passion certainly can break the bank (although, I do have money-saving tips).

I hope you are as excited as I am about this expansion!
