Oily and dry sensitive skin?

Hey guys,

So I have some of the most sensitive skin in the world, but it isn't typical sensitive skin. My skin is better off with Drugstore foundations than it is with high end ones like Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer or Clinique Tinted Moisturizer. I can wear Revlon PhotoReady and not break out at all, however I find whenever I wear any liquid foundation my skin becomes dull and slightly reddish. I rarely wear it anymore. I am better off wearing just power and concealer. It sometime sucks if I want more coverage but over time my skin become more even toned and less red, so much so that I don't even have to wear anything but a little concealer under the eyes to lighten my look.

My skin was not always sensitive. When I was younger I had very bad acne and I washed my face twice a day with multiple cleansers. I don't know how my skin didn't go bizerk with all of those cleansers, because nowadays I can't even wash my face with Yes To Cucumbers, a 95% natural cleanser that is supposed to soothe redness. After reading and watching BubzBeauty's oatmeal face wash I started doing that and I was amazed at how great my skin looked and felt after that, but it didn't last. I started to turn red and noticed my skin was looking dry but still oily to the touch. It didn't make sense! Oatmeal is just oatmeal!! Why on earth would it make my skin red? Why would it irritate it?
I realized that I was using to large of oatmeal and scrubbing with it to hard. If you the kind of sensitive skin I do scrubbing is probably the worst thing for it. I stopped using the oatmeal to let my skin calm down and give it a break from being rubbed and my skin is back to better than it was before. I am a bit reluctant to start washing it again for fear it may turn red, but before I do I will definitely purchase instant oatmeal (the smallest oat size) so that it turns to mush easier and will not feel rough on my skin.
I am going to do a tutorial on how to wash your face with oatmeal and how to be extra careful with it. Like I said before I saw it on BubzBeauty's channel I did not just one day decide to wash my face with oatmeal.
Additionally I realized that I am very sensitive to Retinol, the main product found in anti-aging serums and in Retin-A, an acne treatment. If you have been prescribed Epiduo make sure you only put it on your actual pimple! Don't rub it in harshly or in between acne marks, as it can cause redness and irritation. It really works wonders on you acne but not the acne free parts of your skin.
I hope this was helpful. I will add more and edit later. Until next time.
